A new disco night run at The Canberra Centre for adults with special needs was a big hit when the inaugural event was held on Friday 12th April.
The new disco, delivered by the team at Young Melksham, targets adults of any age with physical and/or learning disabilities.
All fizzy drinks being sold from the Tuck Shop at The Canberra Centre will now always be sugar free following a new policy introduced at the youth centre run by local charity Young Melksham.
Youth Work Manager Gemma Connolly commented, “We wanted to stop the amount of sugar intake they were having in their drinks as part the wider Change for Life campaign so decided that we would no longer stock any canned drinks that aren’t zero sugar.
Young Melksham are excited to confirm that the popular and hard-hitting drama Chelsea's Choice will be being performed at The Canberra Centre on Thursday 17th November.
‘Chelsea’s Choice’ is the internationally renowned, hard-hitting Applied Theatre Production that has proven highly successful in raising awareness around the issues surrounding Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE).
A massive thank you to the Melksham Rotary Club who have given an amazing £1500 to help support the work we do here at The Canberra Centre.
Young Melksham is a charity that relies on grants and donations to deliver the work we do.
